Abstract: Following a brief overview that revolves around three basic issues-a) EHEA driven innovation in university teaching and teaching-learning processes, b) the use of the blog as a teaching tool and c) the advancement of ICTs and Web 2.0-communicative processes, this paper discloses the specific experience of teaching as a platform for using the blog format for practical learning in a subject related to online journalism and news reporting. Given the stylistic and expressive peculiarities of the blog as a 2.0 communication tool, this paper argues its advantages and disadvantages for teaching a subject related to journalism and the dissemination of current affairs content.
